Who We Are
Goode News Farm is a small family run farm nestled in Goode, Virginia dedicated to raising livestock the right way, on pasture. We decided upon our farm name as a play on words for the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and our farm being in Goode.
We currently raise cows, rabbits, chickens, and dogs. Our cows are Galloways, including black, white, and belted varieties. Our rabbit breeds include Silver Fox, New Zealand, Californian, and Flemish Giants. Our current flock of chickens are Red Sex Links. Lastly, our two Golden Retrievers help us around the farm and are the beginning of our plan to raise and offer AKC registered pups.
Using rotational grazing, multispecies grazing, and access to pasture 24/7 we are doing our best to incorporate holistic agriculture on our farm. This means we're using our livestock to naturally better the land so that the land can in turn, better our livestock!
It is my hope that through this blog Goode News Farm may share the beauty and perfection of Creation as well as guidance and instruction on how best to cultivate it. Galloway Cattle
We raise and breed dual purpose Galloway Cattle. Our cows are belted, white with black spots, and white with black tips. They are all bucket trained and come when called. They're 100% grass fed. We often have cows, bulls, calves, and beef available!
Meat Breed Rabbits
We have bred rabbits with care for the best genetics and weights for several years now. Our bunnies are handled daily and often by kids so they make great family pets. But they're also bred to be solid breeding stock to produce meat. Most of our rabbits are pure bred an pedigreed to prove prominence and allow showing. We almost always have Flemish Giant ($80-100), Silver Fox ($45), Californian($50), and New Zealand ($35) kits for sale.

Red Sex-Link Chickens

Our Red Sex Links are proficient layers and hearty birds. They are free-ranged 24/7/365. We occasionally have birds for sale for $20 and always have dozens of large brown eggs for $4!

Golden Retrievers

Primrose and Meadow are our sweet AKC registered Golden Retriever dogs. They are hugged and hanged on by kids all day every day and never bat an eye. We hope to soon have registered puppies from them. A litter of Golden and a litter of the English Cream Golden Retrievers.
